Search Engines are the number one method to get hits. Getting great placement in the search engines is not easy. There is no getting around that because one, they list sites that are more popular than others up first. And, two, there are millions of sites in the search engines to compete with you for top placement. Use keywords contributing to your site and your chances are better!

However, due to popular belief, there are other ways to get hits to your website. You can start your own ezine (newsletter). The faster you get your ezine started the faster you can obtain a mailing list and watch it grow thus getting your name out there.

Banner exchanges are also a great way to get more hits to your site. If you are not offering an exchange link on your website, please get started as soon as possible. Make sure the banner links compliment YOUR site and then reciprocate by sending your banner ad link as well. In marketing, everything we do must benefit the other person or they will not be interested. It is human nature! Link exchanges will get you ranked on search engines even more.

You can also post questions, answers etc. on bulletin boards http://www.friendsinbusiness.com/board1/ or http://com4.runboard.com/bjimsonproductsmessageboard to network with other work at home netprenueurs.

Areas like this have proven to be very effective in advertising your business. Do this at least twice a week, your business will thank you for it!
