STEP 3: How Can I Work From Home?
Join a Work At Home Business Opportunity -- Click Here!
Well, that's a great question and one that will land you a myriad of answers!
Just ask any mom working from home and you'll find out soon enough that there are as many work at home business opportunities as there are molecules in the air. The opportunities are astounding!
So, how do you sort through all of the wishy-washy stuff or the gimmicks that only take your hard-earned money, promising you great success within 24 hours, while flushing your bucks down the pipe?
RESEARCH.
Research is the key. I promise you...just a little extra time spent researching the companies you are interested in will save you an arm and a leg and probably a few hundred dollars.
Although this site is not built with the intention of helping you sort through all of the home based business opportunities available, I made an honest effort to provide you a directory of direct sales companies and home based business opportunies so that you can select from many.
What this site is here for in particular is to help you begin developing your own business ideas and fueling your passion for your product or service with a website, an internet marketing plan, and a desire to conquer the online world with your new business!
Here are some key steps to consider when contemplating working from home:
- Determine if working from home is the right choice for you and your family.
- Consider timing issues. Just because you may have young children doesn't necessarily mean that working from home would be your best choice. Perhaps now is the time for you to continue your part time or full time job while working on business plans and saving up enough "cushion" money for your business before you quit cold-turkey.
- Also consider whether or not your spouse is an agreement with your decision to work from home. You want your spouse to be in alignment with your vision.
- When you have enough money saved for a "shoestring budget", consider cutting back your work hours to part time-- and ONLY after you have some form of a business plan
- By the way, your business plan doesn't have to be 30 pages long, nor set it stone. But you do need to have a general idea of where you are headed. What kind of business will you develop? What are your passions and hobbies? What can you offer the world that is an extension of you, but should guarantee some type of return on investment
- Initially consider an internet-based business with very little start-up costs. This can mean affiliate marketing other people's products or services, or creating digital products of your own for download and marketing them online. Once you have your feet wet, you may then want to consider developing that jewelry product line...but don't go too expensive in the beginning with your business plans until you understand how the online environment and internet community works.
These are, of course, just a few pointers and will hopefully help guide you in the right direction about working from home.
Sincerely,
